Participating in the Community
Participate Locally
A long term mission should be a benefit to the community in which it resides. Regular attendance and participation at village and township meetings is recommended. When purchases are to be made (such as office supplies, tools, or equipment), effort should be made to buy locally if it is possible in order to help the local economy.
Offer Community Activities
As able, it is recommended that the staff open the dining hall on a regular basis (perhaps weekly evening) to the children of the surrounding communities to provide a snack and activities that are clean and wholesome. This is offered as an alternative or to the usually fictional movies, video games, and other distractions that exist in the modern world.
