If Scripture is true, then we have not only our own pride and lusts of the flesh to contend with, but we havean enemy who actively wants to deceive us regarding the truth of Scripture and the value of life, mislead us into doing evil, and cause every form of abomination, hate, and destruction of life possible. This means that life, on a personal level, must be vigilantly defended with discernment between righteousness and wickedness, between truth and falsehood, and resisting personal temptations while, on a global scale, all the fantasies and pride offered by the secular world should be ignored or silenced.
