Reaching for Higher Ground Unit
A few basic truths will answer a thousand other questions regarding life, morality, forgiveness, eternity, and honor while falsehood will produce a set of philosophies, beliefs, and worldviews on a physical base lacking any depth. Truth is a pre-requisite for purity and righteousness while falsehood wastes our resources, relationships, and respect. The truth of the Kingdom of Heaven will bring salvation, wisdom, hope, blessing, and miracles while lies will destroy our faith, promote foolishness, and move us in the wrong direction. Truth will reveal how corrupt, sinful, wicked, and post-truth the world really is and expose what we genuinely treasure for this life and the next as well as what we are willing to work for. There are many battlefields, but sharing how to discern truth and falsehood will shield believers from harm and restore justice to their lives.
Kingdom of Heaven
To grasp the reality of the Kingdom of Heaven requires understanding both the physical and spiritual aspects of creation so that one can pursue truth, light, and goodness while avoiding the falsehood, darkness, and evil brought by the Deceiver. It is learning what living in the Kingdom of Heaven looks like through Scripture without all the man made traditions and false worship and philosophies.
Kingdom of Heaven Summary One of the most profound and far reaching concepts in the Kingdom of Heaven is that of the spiritual aspects of life. If there were no spiritual, then the great questions of life would be unimportant, god and evil and blessing and cursing would not exist, and the Armor of Light would be useless. False concepts of spirituality and the absolute denial of it's existence are major battle tactics of the enemy.
The Two Trees
Within the Creation account of Scripture, there are two trees mentioned called the Tree of Life and the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil. These two trees can sum up most of life as well as the battle I have with logic vs. faith. The secular society the predominates in this world teaches good and evil, but the Kingdom of Heaven shows the Tree of Life.
Two Trees Summary Having one called the Tree of Life implies the other is the Tree of Death. Why? the first tree is peaceful and loving while the other tree is fiercely competitive and at war. The first tree brings freedom from sin and death while the second brings bondage to sin. One tree offers the concepts of righteousness while the other one allows us to make up our own concepts of good and evil which are usually based on pride, honor, shame, selfishness. One tree will celebrate the different gifts each person has while the other stops at just the differences which in turn divides one from another.
