If Scripture is true, then ...

While this phrase may not have been a literal motto for myself during the last quarter century, it certainly has been the mindset with which I have approached life. "What if Scripture is true ..." has defined my way of life. I have been slowly getting away from the denominational traditions taught to me when growing up and, instead, learning to simply follow what the Eternal has told us to do through His Word. It has been an amazing journey of growth, cleansing, and learning to love. The following summary pages, from the Encouraging Life seminar outline, are some of the most important things I have learned along the way.

What Is Scripture Advocacy? If Scripture is true, then scripture advocacy is standing for purity, truth, and righteousness in a post-truth world full of wickedness. It means going against the mainstream in religious, scientific, and societal standards ... because the acceptance of Scripture as an accurate guide to life and life eternal is now an extremely small minority view.

Living Life to the Fullest If Scripture is true, then there is a way to live life to the fullest. This starts by gaining eternal life and then continues building a close and loving relationship with our Creator, learning to love and care for man kind, and how to work for the Kingdom of Heaven.

Risk of Destruction Unit

If Scripture is true, then there is a purpose to life, things that are beneficial and good which help life as well as wicked and evil things that harm life, and our soul is at risk.

Search for Meaning to Life Chapter If scripture is true, then we an seek the answers to the great questions of life and there can be meaning to our actions.

Battle for Life and Death Chapter If Scripture is true, then there is a war raging all around us and within us. Perhaps the greatest battle is between truth and falsehood as one leads to peace and life and the other to death and destruction.

Gambling with Eternity Chapter If Scripture is true, then we are gambling and losing life when we follow any other religion, philosophy, or worldview.

If you believe this, you will have both the fear of death from sin ... and the peace from the promises of His merciful forgiveness that overcomes death.

It is little wonder that the enemy would attack this in both theology and science.

If Scripture is true, then we are called not only to build up our own relationship with the Eternal, but to also help others start / build a relationship with Him.

Sharing Salvation Chapter If Scripture is true, then sharing the Good News is one of the best ways to help people live life to the fullest. Surprisingly, it will also reveal the amount of corruption in the world and how much people fear the truth of consequences for their sin.

Helping the Poor Chapter If Scripture is true, we are not only called to love our neighbor as ourselves, but specifically called to help the poor, the widow, and the orphan ... those who have significantly greater hurdles in taking care of life than most.

Persevering through Persecution Chapter If Scripture is true, then we can expect to be in the minority when we support righteousness and fight wickedness. This can bring persecution in many forms including the loss of friends, slander, restrictions, oppression, and (at the extreme) death.

Mantle of Zeal Chapter If Scripture is true, then ignoring and surrendering to evil is not an option because accepting evil will bring the consequences of evil just as fighting for truth will help bring the consequences of truth.

If you believe this, you will seek out where the Almighty wants you to help in this world and follow in that direction.
