From Scripture Advocate
Revision as of 03:51, 29 January 2025 by Elder (talk | contribs)

There is nothing more powerful in life than a relationship with the Eternal; therefore, learning who He is helps to build life and eternal life. Elohim (specifically the god of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob) created the Heavens and the Earth including the plants, the animals, and mankind. Elohim spoke them into existence in a literal seven day act of creation.

Names and Titles of Elohim Summary

Yahveh the Father and Yahshuah the Son have many attributes and titles with deep meaning associated with them in Scripture which describe Him or His relationship with mankind; but Jews and Christians have replaced these with other names and titles.

Act of Creating

Elohim created the Heavens and the Earth including the plants, animals, and mankind. He spoke them into existence in a literal seven day act of creation almost 6,000 years ago.

The Law Giver

He has given us instructions and command which tell us what is beneficial to life, can be blessed, and lead to Messiah for redemption and eternal life; it is to our own peril to ignore this.

Disciplines of Worship Summary

Proper worship will bring us closer to Elohim by lifting Him up and by being humble and giving ourselves to Him as our Master, Leader, and Shepherd. As the Creator and Giver of Life, Elohim has the authority to state how His creation will interact with Himself. One of the primary aspects of this relationship is proper worship. Proper worship will help Believers achieve a close relationship with Him. See the Disciplines of Worship Most definitions of worship will mention a set of ceremonies, prayers, or other religious methods of ex-pressing gratitude or appreciation to the Almighty. However, worship is much more than a set of routines. It is a special form of relationship. Worship can be defined as the assembling of believers in reverence to the Almighty. It is the giving and the humbling of oneself to Him. It is letting Him be the Master. The consequences of such are dramatic and powerful because He is then free to move among believers. When people recognize His place as Master in their lives and their place as His servants, what naturally follows is His leading their lives, the blessings that come with obedience, and the joy of close relationship.

Pride and Idolatry

Idolatry (worshiping something else), Pride (selfishly lifting yourself up), and fear (going to something else for security) make other things more important than Elohim and take us away from Him

Sharing with the Eternal

Like any relationship, it grows by spending time together, but this one should be a continuous walk sharing all of life.
