Based on Prayer

As I was putting this book together this week ... as I read all these testimonies ... all the change in lifestyle, the traveling, the healing and cleansings, the research, basically everything that has happened is built on prayer.

The first 30 years of my life were based on logic and built on my own efforts ... and I have little to nothing to show for it except the memories. The next 20 years of my life were based on faith ... and it has been amazing both for the many years spent studying the physical with an emphasis on creation and the more recent years where I have started focusing more on the spiritual. The last 2 decades were built on the basic concept that 'if we will follow, then He will lead' and so I went to prayer and have tried to obediently follow what I received in prayer.

Where I am at now, is built on about 1 1/2 hours of prayer each day every day for 20 years. There is nothing else to point to. My answer to the question of 'am i going to trust Him?' has been a resounding "yes, I will try". I have not been perfect. I certainly did not have things like this modeled for me while growing up so I had a huge learning curve to go through (and still do).

Where I am at may not look like much to the world for I do not have fame, power, or wealth. But I have great peace in my life.

Incredibly, my wife has supported me and been alongside me for this entire journey!

I had to learn to listen. I had to choose to follow. Prayer changed my life. And, despite some challenges and persecution along the way, I do not think I regret a moment of it.

I sit here and wonder what the future holds. I know it includes helping the poor and an increasing amount of helping people cleanse their lives spiritually. Yet, as always, I do not know the details nor the timing. I just know I need to keep praying and following and things will fall into place as He desires.
