Genesis 1: Created Beings
Genesis 1 states that we are created beings. Elohim created the Heavens, the Earth, and all that is within them (including mankind). This ultimately means that we belong to Elohim. This relationship is expressed many ways in the Scriptures including Him as our Master and as our Heavenly Father. This also means that He has the right to make the rules and we should obey.
Genesis 2: Relational Beings
Genesis 2 states that we are relational beings. There is a relationship with the One Most High that is above everything. Also there is a relationship with a spouse as it is found that 'it is not good for man to be alone'. With both Elohim and a spouse, life can be shared.
Genesis 3: Fallen Beings
Genesis 3 states that we are fallen beings. Mankind has produced it's first act of disobedience and we have become guilty of breaking the Creator's rules. The penalty for this act was known ... death. We now deserve to die. In the physical, this does not occur immediately, but living life now comes with a curse, distance from the Eternal, and much pain.
. . . : Sanctified Beings
Throughout over a thousand chapters of Scripture, the picture is slowly revealed at how we are sanctified beings. Through the Eternal's promises and covenants with Israel, through the giving of the commandments, through the Tabernacle, sacrificial system, and the work of the High Priest, through the arrival, death, and resurrection of His Son as our Messiah and Savior, and through the giving of the Special Spirit we are being brought closer. Each contributes towards the goal of salvation, sanctification, and redemption. Furthermore, all of these things are celebrated, and Yahshuah is honored, within the festivals and assemblies which annually remind us of His love, mercy, and forgiveness.
Revelation 22: Restored Beings
Revelation 22 states that we are restored beings. We once again have a favored status with the One Most High. We once again have close relationship with our Creator. The effects of sin are no longer part of our lives as believers dwell in a new Heaven and Earth.
